IntroductionThe Silicon Labs Central Texas FLL Championship Tournament is the last phase of regional competition. The participants are the top teams from their respective qualifiers, and the overall 1st place Champions Award winner will receive an invitation to move on to the World Festival in Atlanta, Ga. in April. Everything "resets" from the qualifier, and all teams are once again expected to participate in all areas of competition (Robot Performance, Research Project, Robot Design and Programming, and Teamwork). Congratulations to our 2009 Central Texas FLL Championship Award Winners! This event and the entire 2009 Central Texas FLL Season are made possible through generous support of companies and organizations such as: Silicon Labs, 3M, National Instruments, Skillpoint Alliance, SpawGlass, and LASA Robotics. The Central Texas FIRST LEGO League region has seen 40% growth in this 2009-2010 season of the Central Texas FLL. As such, the tournament grew to having 4 qualifiers in 2008 to 5 qualifiers in 2009. The Central Texas FLL 2009 "Smart Move" Kickoff event was held on Saturday, September 12 2009. Thank you to everyone who came, and to the volunteers who made this event a success. Each of the three sessions - Season Overview, Research Project and Judging Overview, and Game Overview - were all recorded during some part of the day.
