Dear supporter of hands-on, project-based learning: Skillpoint Alliance’s Technology & Education Executive Council is pleased to present the seventh season of Central Texas FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL), featuring the 2010 Body Forward Challenge! FLL is an international program that introduces children aged 9-14 to the fun experience of solving real-world problems by applying math, science and technology. This fall, thousands of young people worldwide – including an estimated 150 teams in Central Texas – will spend three months exploring the cutting-edge world of biomedical engineering to discover innovative ways to repair injuries, overcome genetic predispositions and maximize the body's potential, with the intended purpose of leading happier and healthier lives. Will you consider supporting this exciting student program that makes science, technology, engineering and math as cool for kids as sports? In exchange for your support, your company will be featured at trainings and events throughout the 2010 Season, including six local qualifying tournaments and the regional Central Texas FLL Championship Tournament, which draws over 1,000 cheering fans – the culmination of months of student research, robot design, building and programming. If you are interested supporting this dynamic program that cultivates tomorrow’s leaders, please consider making a contribution. If you have any questions, we will be happy to work with you to identify the level that best fits your needs. Please visit our sponsor benefits page for more information!
